The company of Coffee Bros was started in 2019 by two brothers, much as its name indicates. They’ve created several options since then, from signature blends to some of the highest-quality single-origin coffees.
Because of their carefully built direct-trade relationships with their producers, they work to improve the lives of them and their communities by ensuring truly fair trade. They also pride themselves on sourcing some of the best coffee that’s not only auction-winning but also includes high-scoring blends.
As of 2023, the team of Coffee Bros still only consists of the brothers who started it all, but they themselves have professionally grown and in turn, have created a successful business. Alongside building great relationships with coffee producers and providing truly great coffee, Coffee Bros also ensures sustainability in everything they do.

In the box that I received from Coffee Bros, there were three different bags of coffee beans included: their Light Roast Signature Blend, Medium Roast Signature Blend, and Ethiopia Single Origin. These 12-ounce-sized bags were also beautifully designed and aesthetically pleasing.
Light Roast Signature Blend
This is an extremely sweet and delicate coffee. We’ve found that this roast makes an incredible espresso, as well as a beautiful, bright drip coffee.
The first bag of coffee that I tried from Coffee Bros was the Light Roast, which is one of their signature blends that’s very sweet and delicate. It’s made from 100% Arabica beans, freshly roasted, and delicious.
This blend includes tasting notes of honey, citrus fruit, and floral. It’s a washed processed coffee from Keffa, Ethiopia and Nariño/Huila, Colombia, featuring a crisp and silky body. The beans are grown at a mixed altitude of 1,600-2,300 meters above sea level.
The light roast coffee has an aroma that allows you to smell every note listed. It’s fruity, sweet, and floral all in one, with a delicious smell that made me very excited to taste it.
Overall, this was a very well-balanced and tasty cup of coffee that had a sweet and acidic citrus flavor, as well as a nice floral finish.
Medium Roast Signature Blend
For those looking for a middle-of-the-road coffee that hits on all of the traditional flavors and makes a great drip, this one's for you!
The next bag was Coffee Bros’ Medium Roast, another signature blend that packs much more of a punch than you might expect. It’s round, balanced, made from 100% Arabica beans, and freshly roasted for a maximum experience of flavors.
This bag of beans is a naturally processed blend from Shara, Yirgacheffe Ethiopia, and Minas Gerais, Brazil that’s grown at a mixed altitude of 1,100-1,860 meters. The tasting notes include brown sugar, hazelnut, and red fruit (strawberry).
With a sweet, nutty, warm, and comforting aroma, including a hint of fruity undertones, the roast is definitely an inviting one.
This is a rich and nutty option that works as a bold brew, perfect for use in espresso. The brown sugar complements the hazelnut well and the strawberry note works as a great undertone and finish.
Ethiopia Keramo Single Origin
Our Single Origin Microlot Coffees are sourced from high-end limited-edition lots and are traceable down to an individual producer.
The last bag that I got from Coffee Bros was their Ethiopia Keramo Single Origin, which is a light roast 100% Arabica coffee that is sourced from a limited-edition lot and is entirely traceable.
The Ethiopia Microlot comes from the Daye Bensa export company, which includes 381 small farmers in the region of Keramo, Sidama, Ethiopia.
Tasting notes for this coffee include ripe blackberry and rich dark chocolate, featuring a nice, sweet finish. The Ethiopian coffee beans are natural processed and grown at an altitude of 2,260-2,360 meters above sea level.
The aroma of this cup is very rich and sweet, and you can really detect the berry notes. It’s very inviting and pleasant, giving way to the taste, which is very bold with a nice tart and crisp flavor thanks to the blackberry note.
Mixed with the welcoming sweet richness of this brew, it makes for a bold, strong, and well-complemented coffee flavor.

At the time of writing, the Light Roast Signature Blend from Coffee Bros is priced at $16.99 for a 12-ounce bag, but $16.14 on a subscription base. The Medium Roast Signature Blend is priced at $15.99 for a 12-ounce bag, but $15.19 on a subscription base.
The Ethiopa Keramo Single-Origin coffee is priced at $18.99 for a 12-ounce bag, but $18.04 on a subscription base. Depending on what delicious coffee you order from Coffee Bros, you’ll pay a different subscription price, but you’ll save money regardless.
What Makes Coffee Bros Unique?
There are actually a few things that make Coffee Bros a unique subscription service. The company makes sure to provide only the best coffee, especially with its single-origin options. They focus on only high-scoring lots and guarantee that the producers they work with are more than fairly compensated.
As Coffee Bros will tell you, they “see the single-origin coffee and award-winning coffee portions of [their] portfolio as a way to improve upon the life cycle of [their] products by leveraging the direct trade relationship with particular producers.”
There are actually a few of their coffees that are purchased from an auction that allows the producers to get more than 10 times compensation than what they can get on an open market.
