I was very happy to open my box from Lifeboost Coffee and see that there was actually quite a few bags of coffee. I was well-stocked with healthy coffee! All that was left was to give each one a try.
Inside there was one bag of whole-bean Lifeboost Light Roast Coffee, two bags of ground Lifeboost Medium Roast Coffee, and two bags of whole-bean Lifeboost Dark Roast Coffee.
Light Roast

Upon opening my bag of Lifeboost’s Light Roast coffee and brewing a cup, I noticed that the aroma of it was rather sweet and light, almost giving a candied fragrance.
This cup of coffee was very easy to drink and was sweet but not too sweet, with a hint of tang. Overall, it was very smooth, light, well-balanced, and delicious.
Medium Roast
Lifeboosts Medium Roast blend is another blend that’s non-GMO, low in acidity, and has hints of sweet cocoa, with an undertone of a robust, woodsy flavor. The certified beans are hand-selected for purity, hand-washed, and sun-dried to remove harmful moisture content.
The bags of medium roast coffee that I received from Lifeboost actually came pre-ground, which was a nice way to experience different sides of the subscription options that you can get from the company.
The medium roast is labeled as a full-bodied coffee with round flavors that complement the sweetness of the brew and is said to be Lifeboost’s most popular pick. It supposedly has hints of chocolate-covered fig and dried fruit and is creamy and nutty.
The 3rd party tested single-origin coffee is fairly traded, has an average pH of 5.8-6.5, caffeine levels of 75-89 milligrams per 8-ounce cup, and is USDA-approved, low-acid, mountain shade grown, and non-GMO.
This coffee had a very interesting aroma, one that was both sweet and slightly fruity. The medium roast creates a nearly perfect balance of aroma, flavors, and acidity.
It was a rather smooth and bold cup of coffee that was creamy and nutty, but also tart and acidic. I would say the taste sets itself apart from the aroma, but this is where the balance of both comes in.
Dark Roast
The Dark Roast provides a deeper, sweeter, smokier flavor. This roast is delicious on its own, and it’s also savory when paired with creamer or sweetener! It’s rich and full-bodied, smooth with deliciously-lingering aftertastes and absolutely to die for.
Lifeboost’s Dark Roast coffee is said to have a heavier body than their other two selections, with deeper and darker flavors in comparison. This creates the perfect balance of dryness and sweetness in the brew.
These beans are roasted at higher temperatures for a longer time than Lifeboost’s other roasts but, combined with all of their other measured steps, this becomes the healthiest dark roast coffee possible.
The single-origin 100% Arabica beans are fairly traded, 3rd party tested, mountain shade grown, USDA approved, non-GMO, and low-acid. The dark roast has an average pH of 6.5-6.8 and caffeine levels of 68-76 milligrams per 8-ounce cup.
When I opened one of the bags of dark roast that I received from Lifeboost and brewed a cup, I noticed that the aroma seemed almost chocolatey, nutty, and sweet. There was definitely something warm and comforting about it.
This was a very smooth and bold cup of coffee with nutty undertones and an acidic finish. Overall, it was a very easy-to-drink dark roast compared to most others on the market.
